The construction of this project was started in 2018, focuses on six-lane and 21-km stretch between Rajiv Chowk and Sohna with the construction of flyovers and underpasses at various points. The project has divided into 2 parts packages by which each part completed by allocated concessionary. While the first part of 9 km stretches between Rajiv Chowk and Bad Shahpur that will be estimated at a cost of Rs 690 crore approx. & the second Part of a 12-km stretches between Bad Shahpur and Sohna to be completed at a cost of Rs 606 crore approx.
There are many reasons but three main reasons why the project is important for commuters & for city development is
1) It will consolidate the travel time between Gurgaon and Alwar. Today it takes 3 + hours to complete 120 km stretch which will reduce under 2 hrs after this project completed
2) A signal-free elevated road between Rajiv Chowk and Sohna, helping commuters to completely avoid intersections like Vatika Chowk which is one of the busiest junctions in the city.
3) With the improved connectivity between main Gurgaon & Sohna, it will boost real estate sector of Sohna residential & commercial both.
